Two things have been on constant rotation for us these days: Wild Flag’s new single, “Glass Tambourine,” and Kurt Vile’s new album Smoke Rings for My Halo, which is out today. (Both are streaming via NPR—thanks, y’all.)
Conveniently, you can also see both acts in NYC today: Wild Flag opens for Bright Eyes at Radio City Music Hall tonight (we saw the band on Saturday at the Rock Shop; it was awesome), while Vile plays three in-store gigs: Catch him at Academy Record Annex at 5pm (with support from Bill Nace and Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore), Generation Records at 7pm and Other Music at 9pm.
