Remember when we used to do those neat little round-ups of all the cool stuff you could be doing in New York City on the weekends? They’re back! So here’s what’s happening this weekend:

- Bowie Ball, pictured above, is at Le Poisson Rouge on Saturday. If ever you needed an excuse to smear yourself with glitter and wear sparkly spandex out in public, this is a good one.

- There are still tickets left for tomorrow’s installment of the Brooklyn Night Bazaar, featuring performances by the Hold Steady and Titus Andronicus. We’re not sure why—that’s a great lineup!—but hey, we’re not complaining.

- Housing Works holds its second marathon reading of A Christmas Carol on Sunday, with a whole slew of awesome participants, including Ira Glass, Eileen Myles, Baratunde Thurston and Scott Adsit. And it’s free!

- Fred Flare stages a pop-up shop in Chelsea Market, if you still need to find fun gifts for people on your holiday shopping list.
